Paradise Lutheran Church was founded, and its original worship space built, in 1947. Through a succession of mergers of various Lutheran bodies, it is today affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. From its inception, Paradise Lutheran has been involved in various social and “helping” programs within its community.
We operated a weekly free medical and mental health clinic for several years and founded a free lunch program that fed 100-125 people daily. Currently, Paradise Lutheran is the only group serving free lunches on the Ridge. We have been a leader in opening our facilities to any group needing meeting or activity space and for many years provided annual Christmas parties for over one hundred developmentally disabled adults.
Today, we have fifty active members, with new visitors weekly.
